Open Question: insurance for 17 year old, $15,000+ ?

i was just curious what my insurance would be if i got a car and all the online quotes are saying well over ten grand a year? what if i go under my dads insurance? i think his is like $2000/year i dont understand all about insurance where is a good place to learn? also can i get antique insurance at my age? the car ive been looking at getting is a 97-01 honda prelude or 2000 acura el im also looking at several older cars (basically from 60's and up) im confused premiums? deductibles? comprehensive coverage? etc. how can i learn more?...
